About Heroes Rise Up
Hi, I'm Michelle, and Heroes Rise Up was founded with a simple belief. The men and women who have served our country and protected our communities should never feel left behind after their service ends.
Many veterans and first responders carry visible and invisible wounds. Some return home with amputations or physical disabilities. Others live with PTSD or the emotional weight of experiences most people will never understand. Too often, those challenges can lead to isolation, loss of purpose, and a feeling that life has become smaller than it once was.
Heroes Rise Up exists to change that story.
Our mission is to empower wounded and disabled veterans and first responders through adaptive adventure, shared experiences, and community connection. Instead of focusing on limitations, we focus on what is still possible.
Through adaptive outdoor programs and group challenges, participants rediscover strength, confidence, and purpose. Whether someone uses a wheelchair, lives with an amputation, or is working through the mental challenges that follow service, our programs are designed to meet them where they are and help them rise beyond what they thought was possible.

What is Heroes Rise Up?
Heroes Rise Up is an organization dedicated to supporting veterans and first responders who have been injured physically or mentally in the line of service. It provides opportunities for them to reconnect with life through adaptive outdoor experiences, shared challenges, and community support. The organization focuses on creating environments where these heroes can rebuild confidence, rediscover purpose, and experience meaningful moments alongside others who understand their journey.
Who does it help?
Heroes Rise Up helps wounded and disabled veterans, as well as first responders who are living with physical injuries, amputations, mobility limitations, PTSD, or other service related challenges. Many participants are individuals who may feel isolated after their service or struggle to find activities that are accessible to them. The programs are designed to welcome them, support them, and bring them together with others who share similar experiences.
What is the main mission and goal?
The mission of Heroes Rise Up is to empower wounded and disabled veterans and first responders by giving them opportunities to rise beyond their limitations through adaptive adventure, community, and shared experiences. The goal is to help participants rebuild confidence, strengthen mental well being, and remind them that their story, their strength, and their purpose did not end when their service did.
